Research published in the Journal of Caffeine Research by Meredith, Steven E., et al., entitled Weekly Energy Drink Use Is Positively Associated with Delay Discounting and Risk Behavior in a Nationwide Sample of Young Adults, found that “weekly energy drink users were more likely to report a recent history of risk behaviours, illicit stimulant use, and unprotected sex”.
